The brotha's go camping

So this is Jeremy, Dan, and Kyle. We all went camping up in the mountains just south of Prescott. It was raining, hailing, icing, and snowing. The weather was cold, the ground was muddy, the hot chocolate was warm, Jeremys coat was wearing oatmeal, Dans sleeping bag was unaccommodating, Kyles home was a stones throw away, and wood was scarce.

I think that a bundle of wood costs too much to buy. I think all shoes should be made waterproof by default. I think all tents should be made to be pop-ups. I think all canopy tents should be made a standard height of seven feet. I think if you pay for a camp sight, it should come with freshly cut wood that is dry. I think that the weather channel is wrong most of the time. I think that if you buy a sleeping bag that says it is rated for 20 degrees, it should keep your body at least at 97 degrees inside. I think that all morning root is painful.

Thanks all.

First, what is on your ankles? Second, what is morning root? And third, when are you going to toughen up and not complain? You went camping, there isn't a bad thing about it.

The reasons for going camping are the reasons I stated. That IS the fun of camping. A fine and pleasant misery! I love camping when everything goes wrong. I remember it better that way.

Yeah...I think the same things Jeremy. My main reason for camping are thec campfires...Campfires are THE greatest thing...

S'mores and cooking all other food 'round it.

Sitting around one in the quiet.

Smelling like one for a week after camping...and everything else you own smells like it for a year.

Ahhh...they are great.

I love the picture! I saved it. I'm going to blow it up and hang it somewhere.

Oh, yeah. That was a blast. Why can't I still be there? Oh, yeah.

Stupid money.

I have to call attention to Jeremy's feet.

wow...i forgot that kyle was back in PV...i was just thinking...hey you guys coulda warmed up at our place...if you could stand to come to the red-necked chino valley LOL!

hmm i guess i'm not a natural born camper. but yes, camping when everything goes wrong DOES make it more memorial. one of our last camping trips as a family (troy goes on lots with the scouts) was when samantha(our baby) was just barley a month old we borrowed our friend's camper for the first time and headed off to flagstaff twards the lava tubes. we left later than planned so it got dark faster. then looking for the right turn off we got our first flat tire on our SUV that we had for like 4 months and when we went to change it we found out that the aftermarket performance exaust that was installed (it was there when we bought the SUV) had actually melted a portion of the spare...so the spare wasn't in great condition. nice! so we find the area we wanted to camp...but we wanted to see what else there was....and on our venturing the dirt path became difficult with lots of ruts left from 4 wheelers when it was really muddy. in the process of trying to avoid some of the deeper ones we ended up meeting a tree branch which promptly broke a window in the trailer which happened to be next to where the girls would sleep. and it was very cold! well we got through it found a perfect place and set up camp and were able to stay relativley warm. the next morning troy was able to take out the frame so he didn;t have to take the whole trailer to get it replaced and headed into town to get the window replaced and the tire fixed. as he was gone he ended up with yet another flat (not from the spare either) and had to get towed to the tire place. the whole tire experience was horrific but that is another story...(but never buy continentals!) so eventually he came back at dinner time with the window fixed and no flat tires. sheesh! not such a pleasant thing to have to deal with with a one month old, a still very hormonal wife who is still not quite fully recovered after child birth, two other young girls and the older of the two had actually puked before troy left for his trip into town...yes, i am not planning on forgetting that trip any time soon :)

What is morning root?

And what's with your ankles?

Morning root is when you wake up and all the roots of you hair hurt because of the hat you wore all night to keep you head warm. Wearing a beany enhances this pain.

If you didn't have such a big head, a beenie probably wouldn't hurt so much.
