We don't. Blame the same quacks that believe in global warming.

the funny thing is...i guess there is some sort of pipeline that did get put in alaska (or SOMEWHERE LIKE THAT...i wasn't paying too close attention) anyway there was so much crap made about it trying to prevent it saying it will harm the wildlife habitat and it will deive the animals away...come to find out it made them procreate MORE! LOL i guess the extra heat in the cold weather made them feel frisky! shows what they know!
Yeah. To quote Dr. Malcom from Jurassic Park, "Life finds a way". If a line goes in, Wildlife will utilize it. If a facility is built, the birds will make their homes on the rooftops...etc
This is why we have evolution and natural selection.
